Description
In addition to the huge, well-known selection of grapes such as Chardonnay or red wine, there are still many rather unusual grape creepers that are still or exactly that due to these excellent fruits and vegetables. For example, the Falanghina grape variety is no secret among white wine professionals, although it plays a very minor role in the international red wine market.
A white vine whose origins go back more or less to 1825. It is especially widespread in Campania and in areas of southern Italy, where it finds its ideal habitat. One of the best qualities of these grapes is that the resulting wine retains its organoleptic properties unchanged regardless of where it is grown. The vine has a small wedge leaf with sparsely demarcated leaves, while the clot is more or less long, medium-sized and compact.
An intense and flowery nose for this Falanghina from Tenuta Viglione. Aromas of vanilla, acacia honey, quince and citrus fruits lead to a beautiful structure with a fresh and hearty finish.
Our food recommendation:
We recommend our Falanghina with pureed paprika soup with pesto, olives and oregano. But Saltimbocca alla Romana is also a good companion.
